Greetings Card Created Using Arianna Blooms Papers from Heartfelt Creations

card FINAL

Products from Heartfelt Creations:

  • Arianna Blooms Collection 12 X 12 inch Pad.
  • Arianna Blooms Die set for flower stamens (HCD 748).
  • Vintage Floret Die set for the 3D flower (HCD 727).
  • Vintage Floret Stamps – Bold and Open sets (HCPC 3500 and 3501).

Other Materials:

  • Cosmic Shimmer PVA for flower construction, Collall all purpose for gluing card front to blank card, 3mm double sided foam tape and extra strong double sided tape for creating the acetate enclosure,  Pinflair glue gel for attaching the 3D flower.
  • Plain white 6 X 6 inch card blank.
  • Flower shaping tools and foam mat from Creata.
  • Craft knife, metal edged ruler, glass work mat.
  • Memento dye ink pad (Tuxedo Black) and Memories dye ink pad (Soft Rose) for stamping the flower elements.
  • Gold chunky glitter for inside the shaker.
  • Spectrum Noir alcohol pen (LG5 - green) for defining card edges.
  • Heavy acetate for the shaker window.

Method:

I cut out a 6 x 6 inch design mat from the paper pad, plus a frame from another design, the ‘Just a Note’ sentiment and a small butterfly from another sheet.

The shaker window was created by attaching the acetate sheet to the back of the second frame using the strong tape, then attaching this to the card with shaker tape, enclosing glitter before sticking.

The flower was created by stamping the 1 large, 1 medium and 2 small florets from the bold stamps using rose ink. The largest was over stamped with the black open design. These were cut out using the matching dies, plus some stamens from the Arianna Blooms die set. The flower was then layered and shaped (FAB instructions for this on Heartfelt Creations Youtube Channel).

Clarity Blog Challenge–March 2014–Floral Theme

EWFlower 3

1. Sprayed through Clarity Stencil with diluted green water based paint to create main background – onto hand made paper.

2. Picked up wet colours from glass mat to produce a background for flowers – using smooth watercolour card.

3. Repeat stamped Edelweiss flower with pigment ink – made images pop from background using a white gel pen. Used versamark ink and clear embossing powder all over the image to seal it and give added texture an shine. Only used one layer of embossing as I quite liked the dimpled finish.

Crafters Companion CAS Challenge Blog

Frou Frou

So Quick & Easy – Clean and Simple Project:

1. Printed Frou Frou Vanity Digikit Image onto white paper (Crafters Companion UK).

2. Lightly inked raised area of Darice Chandelier Embossing folder (Crafters Companion UK) and debossed left hand side of image. Opened out folder, turned and debossed again on right hand edge – extending the swirls.

3. Used black spectrum noir pen (Crafters Companion UK) to draw light lines at base of ladies feet (so she wasn’t floating in mid air), and to edge the paper and give it a frame. Simply mounted onto white card.

Clarity Stamp – Feb Challenge – Love & Romance Theme

DSCF2402

Love the new Feb Club Member stamp – thought I would create a sixties flower power theme that was not too girly. Perhaps this will be someone's valentine card this year?

1. On white card sprayed alcohol inks through floral stencils (Spritzer tool with Promarkers).

2. Cut flowers from recycled corrugated brown card (Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers Bigz die) and coloured with acrylic paints. Overstamped randomly with Staz-on and edged with black marker.

3. Stamped Clarity Stamp heart with Staz-on and coloured letters with promarker – carefully so as not to cause stamped ink to bleed. Outlined the design with white gel pen to make image pop from background.

4. Repeat stamped with distress ink over the background – light coloured ink to blend the design together.

5. Applied versamark through a heart stencil around the stamped image. Embossed with clear embossing powder. Repeated until achieved nice glassy finish.

6. Edged card with promarker then blended distress ink in from card edges and around the embossed heart to make it pop from the busy background.

7. Pierced the card border and used a fine marker to create faux stitching.

8. Mat & layered onto card front with black card and finished with a little distress ink blending around the scalloped card.

I recently won a prize from fancyprints.co.uk - to have 3m fabric digitally printed from my own design. This is my fabric repeat tile - just needs a little bit more tweaking and checking and it will be ready to send off for printing. I have used digitally cut elements from my own paintings and textile art and collaged them together. I wanted to produce something very original and have included both autumnal and summer elements plus a little fantasy. No one else will have an outfit like one created from this - so exciting!

Jennie Rayment Daisy

Jennie Rayment Daisy

I created this following Jennie Rayment's Daisy pattern – which I was lucky enough to win as a gift.

I hand dyed the fabrics, stamped and coloured the petals and added french knot embroidery. Not sure yet what I will make from it .... possibly and Art carrier bag for when I am out and about with my larger sketch books. When I have decided I will layer and quilt it.

My First Stampscapes Scene

My first Stampscapes Scene

Description: I used various brands of stamp for trees, the dog and sun and my first set of Stampscape stamps for the sky, water, grass and rocks: Cumulus clouds, shimmering, water pattern, sedge cluster and sedge filler, tall grass, water grass, pebbles and boulders with lichen.

I used an A4 sheet of my rough cartridge sketching paper as I was bit scared to waste my more expensive stuff. Also I wanted to feel free and not get restricted by worrying about it too much. I haven't done any masking. I just stamped in black - then used old watercolour felt pens and a water brush to colour. Then added highlights using a white gel pen.

I am really pleased with the first attempt and will repeat the scene using decent paper and better colouring methods next time.
